Where did we get the name?
It's the No. 1 question we get.
The Internet is a bizarre place where we spend most of our working hours. But for Founder Kali Daniel’s partner, Sam, and his friends, it's a universe made for spare time. When they began tossing around the misnomer "in my humble onion" to end their in-depth criticisms of pop culture and sports, it was new to us (though they claim they didn't invent it).
It felt perfect for what she envisioned her business to be – one that has insightful, data-driven strategies but a light-hearted approach at the same time. It is marketing, after all, and it's not one-size-fits-all.
Humble Onion Creative was born out of truly humble beginnings as a conversation between friends. But the name has grown to something more.

Our vision is a world focused on community development, regardless of resources.
Kali Daniel is an award-winning layout designer and nonfiction writer.
When she’s not doing the work she loves, she's researching the latest trends and techniques anyway. She and Sam can be found curled up with books, video games, thrillers, or anything else with a wild storyline.
